I love Lisa Wingate's books. She seems to write about issues that drawn you into the story and makes you a part of them. The Story Keeper is her newest release and takes us into the life of Jen Gibbs.
Jen is an editor that is at the top of her game. She works for Vida House Publishing and is one of the best. A manuscript from an old slush file shows up on her desk and Jen settles into read it. She is drawn quickly into the story and decides to track down the author. The only problem is, the trail leads back to a place that she never thought she would go back to. Lisa weaves a story of a heroine that uses her scars as a means to survive. One that you will be ready to cheer on and want to hug. A character that will stay with you long after you close the covers of the book.
