Dear Readers,
It is V-J day! That is the best news to report on, but Kate Tanner isn't worried about the reporting of it, she just wants to celebrate because that means the boys are coming home and the Merritt sisters can look forward to starting their happily ever after. But as the boys start arriving, each girl must learn that sometimes happily-ever-after may be different than what they imagined.
We met the Merrit sisters in Ann H. Gabhart's book Angel Sister. A wonderful gentle story of a young foundling being adopted by the family. It is a tale of love that can be stronger than blood ties. We watched the girls grow up and start dreaming of a future in Small Town Girl and now we will join in the girls' story as they begin the lives with their favorite guy in Love Comes Home.
Ann has such a beautiful way of writing. Right from the beginning Rosey Corner felt like home, even if it was written about a time before I was born. There was the wonderful small town feel, where neighbors are always in each others business, but when the chips are down, those same neighbors are the first ones to help.
The Rosey Corner series is a prefect read for curling up with and disappearing for a while or better yet, find a place with a soda fountain and you will really believe you are in the small town you are reading about.
Happy Reading,
