Joanne Bischof invites you to "come on in and sit aspell" in her stories. There is nothing about her books that makes you want to hurry onto the next page, but you do just to continue the beautiful flow of the story developing. Book number one of the series, Be Still My Soul introduced you to Lonnie and Gideon who were married at the end of a rifle. Her father's rifle to be exact.
In Though My Heart is Torn you walk back into their lives and find that they are enjoying married life and settling in well. That is until Gideon's past seems to catch up with them in the shape of an old girlfriend who insist that she is Gideon's real wife. Will their marriage be able to survive this new test of their faith?
