Dear Readers,
After a few lean weeks things are beginning to pick up with the new titles arriving here at the store. Thank goodness I was beginning to worry about my TBR list it was down to about 20 books on it. Not good, it makes me nervous if I get below 25. :-)
Happy Reading,
The Returning - Rachel Dekker - #3 the Seers Novels - Twenty years have passed since Carrington and Remko Brant’s baby, Elise, was kidnapped and they were forced to leave her captive in the Authority City. Though they fled with the Seers far from Authority reach, they’ve never given up hope of rescuing their daughter from the man who betrayed them. Now Authority President, he’s ushered the city into a new era of “peace”―one where the Scientist Roth Reynard’s Genesis Serum has eradicated all memory of emotion or rebellion.
Because You're Mine - Colleen Coble - Alanna has been plagued by tragedy. So it should come as no surprise that in the beauty that surrounds Charleston, all is not as it seems. When her husband is killed by a car bomb while their band is on tour in Charleston, Alanna doesn’t know where to turn. Her father-in-law is threatening to take custody of the baby she carries, but the one thing she knows for sure is that she can’t lose the last piece of Liam she has left.
The Cherished Quilt - Amy Clipston - #3 Neighbors of Lancaster County - Gregarious Rose Lehman, who's always the life of the Amish youth singings, is determined to marry the bishop's son, Reuben Byler--until the handsome Army buddy of her future brother-in-law shows up in Lancaster County. In comparison to Trevor, Reuben seems downright boring. Trevor shares Rose's sense of fun and adventure, and her easygoing disposition.
The Revolt - Douglas Bond - As a secretary at the battle of Crècy, Hugh West'all has come close to death. But when he meets John Wycliffe, he embraces a mission even more excitingand just as dangerous: translating the Bible into English, the language of the common people. Hugh's work helps him to understand the Gospel even as a corrupt and decadent church plots to choke Wycliffe's translation and silence him forever.
The Battle of Seattle - Douglas Bond - It's 1855, and tensions in the Pacific Northwest between white settlers and native tribes have led to scores of deaths on both sides. As all-out war seems inevitable, young William Tidd, an express rider for the militia, joins Charles Eaton's Rangers on a mission to hunt down Chief Leschi of the Nisqually and end the bloodshed before it escalates. Through skirmishes, raids, close calls, and betrayal-William's assumptions, courage, and faith will all be challenged in a few breakneck weeks.
