For some readers, reading a Melody Carlson Christmas book is almost as much a tradition as putting up the Christmas tree. I have been asked here at the store as early as August when they will be arriving in the store. She has written a different every year for the last several and they have all gone very well. A Simple Christmas Wish is no different. I had customers eager to take the book home and to start getting into the holiday spirit as soon as it was on the shelf.

There is something about a story about an orphan at Christmas that seems to strike a cord with everyone. We all want to see them find a family that will love them and make sure they only have perfect Christmases after that. A crackling fire, a cup of hot chocolate, lights on the tree to read by and this book sets the perfect atmosphere for a peaceful holiday night.
