Eric Wilson

Dear Readers,
One Step Away by Eric Wilson is a different perspective on an old story.  In the Bible the story of Job is how the Devil goes to God and tells Him he can get Job to sin and turn his back on God.  As we all know it kind of backfires on Satan and Job becomes a witness to his family and friends through his faith in God.
One Step AwaySatan has a new idea, "what if I over-bless a family instead of cursing them.  What if I take a poor family and give them millions, they will for sure lose their faith then."
Once again God agrees and the test begins.
Brett and Sara Vreeland are struggling to make ends meet.  Between their two lower paying jobs and their son's illness, it has not been easy, but they have their faith and their family. The rest God will take care of.
Then one day Sara inherits millions from a client at the clinic she works at.  Suddenly money is not an issue.  They can afford anything they want, including a trip to Cancun for the entire family.  Now that everything seems to be going their direction, will their faith stand firm?
I really found this story line interesting.  How often have we thought that if we only had a bit more money than we would be happy.  Is that true?  Would we still keep our faith?  How would it change us (and it would)?  Would I actually give more to God?  It was something to think about.
I have enjoyed Eric's books in the past.  He has written several with supernatural elements to them.  This books does not have that part, but it does have a bit of a mystery to it.   It is not a thriller or mystery book, it is a quiet story about God providing what we need when we need it.

Happy Reading
